For the first time in 23 years, McCormick named a Flavor of the Year: Vietnamese x Cajun. To launch it, we needed more than a reveal—we needed a redefinition.

With big ambitions and a lean budget, we tapped into food culture debates and the metaverse to build buzz, expand reach, and drive record-breaking success. The result? McCormick’s House of Flavor—a bold, playful virtual experience that asked just one question: Right? Wrong? Who cares. If it tastes good, go with the flavor flow.

We partnered with Archonomous to create a bold, playful Decentraland experience, where food culture met the metaverse and fans could explore McCormick’s Flavor of the Year in unexpected ways.

Chef Trong Nguyen guided players in earning exclusive avatar NFTs, now fully minted and traded on OpenSea and the Decentraland marketplace.
